Inspector Walsh finds out the truth
On Monday morning Sergeant Foster went to the Clarkson's house and asked everybody some questions. First he talked to Jackie:
"Ok Jackie, now it's your turn!" - said Inspector Walsh.
Then Jackie said nothing and started to smoke. So, Inspector Walsh asked:
"Why are you nervous?"
"I'm not nervous!"
"Yes, you are. Is it because you killed your mother?"
"Why me? What about Diane? You found the empty bottle in her bag!"
"Ok, ok. Today it's all. Call me Diane!"
Jackie left the room and Inspector Walsh stopped for a minute.
Then, Diane came in. Inspector Walsh looked at her and started to ask questions.
"So Diane, tell me about that night."
"Ok. I prepared hot milk and I took it downstairs to her. Then, I left the room. That's it!"
"Ok. You can go."
Inspector Walsh chatted with the others and then he asked to go to Molly's room. Everybody went.
Inspector Walsh started to walk in the room, then... he stepped on a pair of gloves and found a bracelet near the gloves.
"Oh! Look Jackie's bracelet!" - said Diane.
Nobody said nothing for a minute and Inspector Walsh was thinking about it. Then, he said:
"You come with me!"
Jackie and Tom Briggs left the room and went to the kitchen.
There, Inspector Walsh asked:
"Why did you do this?"
"What?" - asked Jackie.
"Stop lying! You know what you did! Now everybody knows!"
"Ok. We did it because she didn't want us to date. We wanted her money to live abroad and get married !!!
"Ok! You've got it! Now you're going to live together... in jail!"
